Kia NBA MVP Rankings

The Kia NBA MVP is a close race this year, with four contenders leading the pack who could all take the votes needed to win: Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, James Harden of the Houston Rockets, LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs.

While Westbrook and Harden are considered the two most likely to be named MVP, there’s something to be said for Kawhi Leonard, who’s earning 25 points a game on average and getting plenty of rebounds and assists.

LeBron James, who’s having one of the best years of his career, averaging double-digit points and 8 rebounds and assists each every single game. He’s also the oldest by far of all the MVP possibilities this year, with the most career minutes.

At the time of writing James Harden is second in the rankings, with 29 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds per game. Westbrook is leading thanks to an incredible streak of triple-doubles, and as a number of NBA.com writers have noted, Westbrook is playing on the objectively worst team of all the MVP candidates but is still managing to rack up that many assists. Many writers think Westbrook will take the MVP title, but it’s still too close to call.

The Kia Optima is the official vehicle of the NBA, and at Gossett Kia we’re proud to be associated with such an incredible game.
